The Club

Vespa Club Thessaloniki

The Vespa Club of Thessaloniki was founded in August 1986 by a group of Vespa enthusiasts who wanted to connect and share their common passion.

In 1987, it officially became the first Greek Vespa Club, member of the World Federation of Vespa Clubs (FIV then – Vespa World Club today), establishing connections with Vespisti across Europe.

International Presence & Community

Every year, our members:

  • Travel across Europe with their Vespas
  • Participate in European and World Vespa Meetings
  • Actively represent Greece in the international Vespa community

Vespa Culture in Greece

With the contribution of Vespa Club Thessaloniki:

  • Vespa Clubs were established across Greece
  • Today, 29 active clubs operate as members of Vespa Club Hellas
  • Two major national meetings are held every year:
    – Winter
    – Summer

Events & Activities

The Club has strong activity including:

  • 15+ Panhellenic Vespa Meetings
  • Races:
    – Vespa Dragster
    – Vespa Trial
  • Competitions:
    – Skill competitions
    – Slow riding contests

Highlight:
In 1997, the Club organized the Eurovespa in Thessaloniki, welcoming over 2,000 Vespisti from across Europe — the only time the event has been held in Greece.

Custom, Restoration & Passion

Our members:

  • Restore Vespa models from 1947 to 1980
  • Create custom builds:
    – Racing
    – Chopper
    – Mod style

At the same time, there is strong interest in the historic Italian scooter Lambretta.

Training & Activities

The Club actively promotes education:

  • Track Weekends for performance and safe riding
  • Seminars:
    – Safe riding
    – CPR & First Aid

Additional activities include:

  • Guided tours & excursions
  • Film nights
  • BBQ, live events & gatherings
  • Vespa parades in the city

Journeys that Define Us

  • In 2011, three members traveled to NordKapp via Russia
  • In 2013, one member started a round-the-world Vespa journey, still ongoing

Beyond riding, the Club is a strong community:

  • 40 years of friendships and shared experiences
  • Active blood bank for members
  • Participation in charity events and social initiatives
